Wow! Can you say "whirlwind?"
Our Spring Portrait Event took place at the El Dorado Train Depot on Saturday, March 12th, and it was non-stop picture taking from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.! It was a great day with beautiful weather, and we couldn't have asked for more!
Thank you to everyone who signed up for sessions! We are currently in the process of uploading all of your albums to our shutterfly site:
http://treememories.shutterfly.com/
Once there, you need to click on "Pictures and Videos." You will then be able to locate your album and look through your pictures. When you have decided on which ten images you want edited, leave the numbers 1-10 in the comment boxes under the images you like. Remember, you will be looking at the raw, UN-edited versions. Wrinkles, lighting, shadows--those will all be cleaned up once we edit the images. So, try and focus on which facial expressions or poses you like best and not the minor details!
While you wait to see your photos, we thought we'd take a moment and let you see some of our favorites from the day:
When you get two little brothers together, you never know what you will get. I love how the youngest is the one "driving!" --Delena
This little one wasn't giving up ANY smiles during her session. As they were getting ready to leave, Mom handed her the sunglasses, and she promptly sat down in front of the backdrop. If I had known she would pose so well, I would have done the whole shoot in her sunglasses! --Delena
Since we were doing the sessions at the El Dorado Train Depot, Sara had a neat idea to find some old luggage so it would look like the kids were waiting for the train. I never used the luggage outside, but this little guy fit perfectly into one of the suitcases. I've never worked with a baby who never looked away from the camera! He was a photographer's dream! --Delena
Friends since we were nine years-old, I was excited to photograph my friend with her little girl. I love the expression on her daughter's face, her perfectly painted little finger nails, and the smile on Mom's face. Beautiful ladies. --Delena
"Energy" doesn't even begin to describe what this little guy was full of! After several attempts at getting some shots of this guy, Sara handed him a pinwheel, and he stopped so we could take some photos. I love the expression on his face--pure joy! He was adorable!
--Delena
Talk about cute! I quickly found out the boys were twins, and the little girl had the cutest dimples ever. I asked them to go stand by the door, and they naturally just fell into this position. I love the color and vintage feel of this photo. --Delena
I've never worked on any kind of a patterned backdrop. So, I faced a fear during our Spring Portrait Session when I worked with this zebra print backdrop--and I loved it! The color of the balloons and the color of the little girl's dress really worked well with the black and white in the backdrop. It doesn't look like she minded posing with the balloons, either! --Delena
When Sara finds a minute between teaching, uploading photos, and being a mom, she will be adding a few of her favorites as well!
Stay tuned for details on our Summer Portrait Event. We will have TWO days available: Friday, July 8th and Saturday, July 9th. Sign up today--these sessions are sure to go quickly! We will also have a few more ways to win some free stuff!
Congratulations, again, to Abby Maclaskey for winning her free portrait session this last time!
